Poker & My Plan

Hello everyone! This will be my first blog entry ever in my life but I am really looking foward to it. I used to write in a journal every week in my teenage years keeping track of life goals, accomplisments and just daily thoughts. My life right now has changed drastically in the last year (2008-2009). I found a new love which is online poker. I have never felt this way about anything in my entire life. After watching many poker shows on TV about 2 years ago I really wanted to see what all this fuss was about and hearing the stories of kids in college/university quitting school and making millions playing online poker for a living just sounded way to tempting to pass up!

I am a very competive person and have been since I was young. Playing video & board games including Chess, Backgammon, Starcraft, Quake 3 I always had to have an edge. If someone would beat me I would spend day in and day out figuring out there strategies and/or just pracitce my game so next time we matched up I could play for the win. So... Winter 2008 after reasearching for months and months about poker, buying poker books, lurking on 2+2 after googling (poker forums) I took my leap and decided its time to put some money on Pokerstars. I choose Pokerstars due to its reputation on 2+2 and its customer support team which Fulltilt is seeming to lack.

I deposited $50, I intend to stick to a strict bankroll management guide 4 tabling 2NL 6-max until I have 30 buyins for 5NL 6-Max. I am going to keep going up and up through the limts not making any withdrawls as this will be something I will be doing in my spare time only. I am in no hurry to make any serious money as I do fairly well at my Day job. I choose to start at the lowest limits to challenge my self and feel very succsessful when I make it all the way up to 50-100NL after grinding my way up I feel I will learn alot more then just depositing $2000 and learning from there. I want to climb the ladder so when I do make it to the top I will have some sense of what was going on at those other limits so I can help my friends do the same thing I'm doing if they ever get interested in playing online poker aswell.

Well this has gone way to long for my first blog entry so until next time & Good Luck At The Tables!
